The performer leans a block of wood (previously and totally examined) against a bottle (also completely examined) and tells everyone to concentrate on it. Suddenly the block starts leaning up and away from the bottle and falls flat on the table with a loud “clack” (especially if the audience is really really quiet…and they usually are). By this time the audience isn’t sure if they just witnessed this or not, as most of the time they are still completely silent and in awe.
An amazing apparent demonstration in telekinesis or psychokinesis (PK).
No magnets, no string, no wire, no sand, no wind, no stooges, no remote controls, entirely self-contained, works by itself. All can be totally examined before and after the demonstration. Don’t be fooled by the cheap ones on the market today where sand runs through the block, and you can hear it from a mile away. This one doesn’t work like that. It’s a completely different method that makes no noise whatsoever.
Block measures approx. 1.5″ x 1.5″ x 8″
A light-hearted presentation using a Jedi theme
Star wars is always a popular theme!
Looking for a more serious theme in which to use the timber?
Watch this film trailer about Winchester Mansion and you will have a spooky and convincing theme! Imagine explaining to your audience that the timber they hold is one of the unused pieces of lumber from the night the contractors stopped working and started drinking…
Proposed storyline:
The Winchester Mansion in San Jose, California, that was once the personal residence of Sarah Winchester, the widow of firearm magnate William Wirt Winchester is located at 525 South Winchester Blvd. in San Jose, California. The Queen Anne Style Victorian mansion is renowned for its size, its architectural curiosities, and its lack of any master building plan. It is a designated California historical landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Since its construction in 1884, the property and mansion were claimed by many to be haunted by the ghosts of those killed with Winchester rifles. Sarah felt that as long as the mansion was being built, no spirits could harm her. Under Winchester’s day-to-day guidance, its “from-the-ground-up” construction proceeded around the clock. That was until September 5, 1922, when a worker’s disagreement led to the foreman picking up a beer, toasting Sarah, and then setting it down next to a pile of lumber and walking off the work site while telling her she could do the building herself. Sarah Winchester died September 5, 1922, just minutes after the construction ceased.
Using a bottle and one of those unused pieces of wood you will demonstrate that the spirits still reside in and around the Winchester Mansion!
